The Band

Bill Guenther

Keys and vocals

Bill is the co-founder and leader of Darkhorse. His rich, resonate baritone and aggressive keyboard style are the driving forces behind the band’s vibrant, eclectic sound. Bill’s drive, intensity and love of performance are evident on-stage as he strives to make every show nothing less than fantastic! Bill is an accomplished songwriter, arranger and musician and he writes many of the originals performed by Darkhorse and many other artists.

Cole Beattie

Guitar and vocals

Cole is co-founder of Darkhorse and an Arizona native. His wide-ranging guitar skills allow the Band to perform everything from country classics to alternative rock with equally impressive results! His musical talent and vocal ability are an integral part of the Darkhorse sound. In addition to being an accomplished musician, Cole has produced several CD’s including The Darkhorse Demo.

Lisa Gillespie

Bass and vocals

Lisa joined Darkhorse in 1998 and added just the right “spice” to the Band! Her vocal range, stage presence and energy are bonuses backing up her skill on the bass guitar. Attitude, enthusiasm and a “can-do” approach to performing are the ingredients that make Lisa a standout performer. She wants to be there – and it shows! In addition to playing for Darkhorse, Lisa plays piano, guitar, and records her own songs.

Kristy Dee

Guitar and vocals

Kristy became a member of Darkhorse in 1998 and immediately added a whole new dimension of sight and sound to the Band! Her unique, honest vocal style easily covers a wide range of genres but remains “pure Kristy” in sound and soul. Her outstanding guitar skills combine with her awesome vocal talent to inspire all audiences – young or old. Kristy is heard regularly on KNIX radio guest spots and has recorded her own CD.

John Herrera

Drums

John Herrera, voting member of ASCAP and NARAS, shared performances with the likes of James Brown and Earth, Wind, and performed at Mandalay Bay, House of Blues, Bellagio, and Caesar’s Palace, Newport Beach Jazz, Catalina Jazz, and Jazz on the Rocks. He has been voted "Performer of the Year" in Best of Arizona Jazz 1999 and 2000 readers poll. He is also a Roster Artist for the Arizona Commission on the Arts.

Jeremy Marsh

Vocals & Guitar

In the spring of 2005, Dark Horse was proud to introduce a rising star, Jeremy Marsh, as the new lead male vocalist for the band. Jeremy’s gutsy alternative vocal style and guitar added a youthful and modern element to the Dark Horse mix and, combined with his success in Nashville as an award-winning country singer and songwriter, made him the perfect complement to Kristy’s soulful vocals. Jeremy’s interactive, high energy performances make him a crowd favorite at every event. With his line-dancing background and experience as an MC and DJ, he is guaranteed to get the party going.

Jeremy was born into a musical family and has been performing live since he was old enough to stand up and sing. He has performed in Las Vegas and throughout the Southwest and has gathered a large and devoted fan base.
Jeremy has written and recorded several original songs and is working on his first CD release with the Dark Horse Band.
